In October, 2007, Kip returned to the U.S. after spending eight months
serving with the Navy Reserves in Kuwait.
Michele, Megan and Gregory all went to welcome Kip home
and to visit the Naval city of Norfolk.
The kids got to see the experimental Stiletto boat used by the Navy Seals.
They also got to see aircraft carriers - the largest of the Navy ships!

Eisenhower, the
nuclear-powered aircraft
carrier that Kip served on
from 1989 to 1993.
The Eisenhower had recently
returned from service in the
Persian Gulf.
The crew of the Eisenhower was kind enough to give
the family a brief tour of the ship.

One of the highlights of
the trip was taking
Gregory to the Navy
Exchange where he
received a proper
military haircut.
Here's a photo of Gregory
after his trimming.

He's looking good and
ready for inspection!
