The event was held at the
Sheraton Four Seasons Koury
Convention Center in Greensboro.
During their first day at the Conference, Kip and Breanna
attended three informative medical seminars:
After her
seminar, Candi
Vanvleet chats
with some of the
HOSA members.
3
Jerome Fuller gave a
video presentation
which included actual
footage of open heart
surgeries.
During their second day
at the Conference, Kip
and Breanna went on a
field trip to the Shodor
Center in Durham.
Of course Kip is smiling.
They're giving away free coffee!
The climax of the Conference was the award ceremony were
members received medals for winning medically-related
competitive exercises.
Breanna competed in the
category of Expository
Writing.  She won this
competition at the regional
event, and so was asked
to participate in the
state-wide competition.
Unfortunately, she did not
win the state competition,
but she sure had a great
time trying.
Breanna's friend Josh sat
with us during the awards
ceremony.  We were all
excited when Josh was
called up to receive and
award for his performance
in the Knowledge Test
category of
Pathophysiology!
Way to go Josh!
