Most of the hail stones were the size of marbles, but some
were the size of a tangerine.  Dewey got hit on the head and
had a nice sized welt, Breanna has bruises on her legs, and
Michele, Megan and Gregory all had bruises on their back.
Gregory also broke the big toe on his left foot as his horse
sprinted past a metal fence post.

We all feel fortunate that nobody was more seriously injured.

that day.
On Mothers' Day, 2006, the family went for a trail ride at Circle M Stables.
Unfortunately, on that afternoon the Mooresville area was hit with the worst
hail storm that most of us have ever seen.
The white dots on the floor of the arena are all hail stones.
Dewey pulls his horse Honey into the safety of the barn.
The bruise on the
back of Michele's
arm was caused by
a hail stone.
